Get Involved

Getting involved in International Moms Group usually starts by joining our weekly meeting. From there, friendships are built and connections are made outside the group time. Cross Cultural Programs also give you an opportunity to go deeper with new American friends.

Our weekly meetings are
Thursdays 9:30-11:30am starting September 29, 2022. Our meetings have a specific focus - international moms - so we need each person to register so you can find out our location and better connect with us.

There is a playroom available for children 5 years old and younger at our meetings. A combination of volunteers and international moms will watch the children. Activites and a snack will be provided. Make sure you register your children too so we know who to expect.

GUEST SPEAKERS

Experts from our community share about relevant topics such as maternal health, nutrition, children's dental health, preventing child abuse, and more. Sometimes we even have dance aerobics instructors!

INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL PRESENTATIONS

INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL PRESENTATIONS

Each international mom comes from a unique and beautiful culture that we love to give opportunity to showcase. International moms can volunteer to share a cultural dance, a cultural food, cultural traditions, and/or information about their country.

AMERICAN CULTURAL PRESENTATIONS

When international moms come to the United States, they often wonder about ghost decorations in October or hearts in February or lit up trees in December. Our American volunteers share about each of the major U.S. holidays as an effort to help internationals understand our culture better.

COOPERATIVE PLAYROOM

Children 5 and under have a safe place to be while the moms are listening to speakers and relating to one another. American volunteers and international moms trade off watching the children in the playroom. The room is typically stocked with toys, coloring books, and playdough.
